As you'll already know, November is now, and forever will be, known as Movember. It's all about growing your mo' - that is, your moustache, to raise money for The Prostate Cancer Charity. Movember began in Australia five years ago, when a group of friends decided they wanted to bring the moustache back into fashion and raise a bit of cash for charidee at the same time. Mo fever took Australia by storm, and has since spread to the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Spain, launching in the UK for the first time last year. Mo bros, with the support of Mo sistas across the world, have raised over £11 million for mens health issues in just five years.
And now, the moustachioed army march down to Cornwall for the very first Rip Curl Movember Sessions at the Sandsifter, Godrevy. Taking place on 29 Movember, the event will include a fancy dress surf competition, for which all contestants must have a moustache. The comp will be in a lucky dip format, and boards will be provided by Down The Line surf shop. A ping pong competition will add to the fun on dry land, with local DJs spinning the tunes, and in the evening, the Gala Party will be hosted by those fun loving moustache wearing Cuban Brothers! Come along dressed to suit your mo - whether you're going for a handlebar or a Magnum, make sure the rest of your clobber fits in!
